Sergio Garcia played host this week and took home a trophy, too.
Garcia shot a four-under 67 to win the Andalucia Valderrama Masters on Sunday in Spain. The win was Garcia’s second at Real Club Valderrama, where he also won the Andalucia Masters in 2011.
Garcia entered the final round with a one-shot lead over Daniel Brooks, but he held off Joost Luiten down the stretch. Garcia and Luiten both birdied the 17th to keep Garcia’s lead at one, and both missed birdie putts on 18. Garcia was 12 under for the week.
The victory was Garcia’s first since he won the Masters in April. On Friday he was awarded honorary lifetime membership by the European Tour.
